I am delighted to be part of such an interesting and dynamic association with FordDirect. I have over 30 years of experience in automotive retail. I began my career at Allstar Chevrolet in 1979 as an automotive sales professional, and worked my way up to sales manager and ultimately to general manager. I became dealer principal in 1984 and acquired an additional franchise in 1986 before selling the store in 1990. I then tried my hand at business staffing as vice president of sales and operations for Weststaff in Northern California. In 1994, I returned to the car business in a consulting role, working with Chrysler’s 5 Star Program and piloting the first group of dealerships in Northern California. In addition, I have worked with Ford Customer Service Division with the Around the Wheel Program, Jaguar Land Rover, Acura, and Chrysler’s Quick Lane service implementation. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and public administration from San Jose State University. In addition, I have additional education in automotive management through TCU and the General Motors School of Merchandising and Management.

I understand and appreciate all the talent required to sell, service, and keep loyal customers and employees. I have seen the evolution of this remarkable business from producing a contract on an old ‘Oakleaf’ back in 1979 to the speed of our business today. I understand what it is like to sell a car with the complexity and information customers are armed with today.

I have two twin boys, currently juniors in high school, and in my personal time, I enjoy time away at our cabin in Truckee for some skiing or golf. I also enjoy playing adult baseball with my current team, the Sacramento Seals.
